Tri-County Office on Aging has had the honor of serving Meals on Wheels to the aging population in Clinton, Eaton and Ingham counties since 1976. Demand has been steadily increasing at a rate of 12% per year for several years now. Increase in demand for service from our most vulnerable citizens, places us in a position that we need your help!! Volunteer shortages have left us in a position that we cannot deliver meals daily.
“Got an hour – Give it back” In about an hour, around lunch time, if you are able to help us serve older adults in our community please reach out to us.
The process is simple:
- Fill out an application
- Allow us to do a criminal background check
- Our staff will train you in about an hour
- Complete one ride-a-long with an experienced volunteer and . . . . you are on your way!!
Many of these vulnerable people we serve only see one person per day, that one person could be you.
